While it is safer to carry more inventory to offset losses from demand volatility, carrying too much puts one in a cash constraint. Ideal rates of WOS will vary depending on an individual’s level of risk aversion. Though, in absence of a forward looking forecast, WOH can be used to determine an estimated life of inventory. WOS is a better metric as recency is not always indicative of immediate future sales such as those seen during major shopping holidays. Put simply, WOH looks backwards while WOS looks forward. Note, WOS is different from WOH (weeks on hand), which is based on current average weekly sales as opposed to future. WOS is calculated as inventory on hand divided by future average weekly sales. In other words, how many weeks it will take for an item to sell out based on current on hand inventory and future projected weekly sales. WOS acts as a metric to value the life of inventory on hand in weeks. Weeks of supply, or WOS, is a measurement for safety stock as it relates to your future demand. Without the insights attached to this metric, brands may turn to discounting as a short term strategy to offload cash constraining inventory. With this information, a planner or merchandiser can know what is considered “stale” inventory and reallocate it to other locations or channels where needed. ![]() Combined with WOS, EOH is used to understand the longevity of inventory. EOH helps identify how much inventory is available by channel, location, and season. Quantified at units, cost, and retail, ending on hand inventory (EOH) reflects the sum of all units for the last day of the selected time range. Though like any metric, GMROI should be assessed in tandem with other KPIs as what proves to be strong in one area may not apply to others. Alternatively, anything below a rate of 1 would imply negative returns. While ideal rates vary by industry, generally a higher GMROI signifies a “healthier” product. It is calculated as gross margin divided by average inventory cost to show margin relative to the investment. GMROI is essentially the degree to which a product yields financial gain as measured by a price to earnings ratio. Short for gross margin return on (inventory) investment, GMROI is perhaps the most crucial metric of profitability for planners who buy low to sell high. Measuring your inventory against the following KPIs is the first step in strategizing inventory plans and setting yourself up for success. Costs associated with storage, movement, and markdowns all add up to make inventory management a critical component to the health of any retailer. Doing so inaccurately will result in expenses beyond the constraint of cash. The role of inventory managers is to turn this budget into profit for their company as fast as possible. Depending on their size, brands can spend anywhere from 50-80% of their budget on inventory. While topline sales provide a visible indication of performance, actual business profitability relies heavily on proper inventory management. Knowing the right metrics to measure your inventory against can help you understand the degree of impact to your business and what your future might hold. #Instock or in stock how toHow To Create CUSTOM PRODUCT OPTIONS on Shopify 2.With current stats highlighting a nearly 10% decline in retail sales YOY, it’s no surprise that the retail industry will experience an influx and volatility in inventory levels.Find the place you want to show your message, maybe above add to cart button, and paste the following code: Now that you have the duplicate of your theme you can click on Actions again, but this time choose Edit Code.įrom the navigation to the left go to Sections directory and choose Product-template.liquid. With a small cutter we start in the British Port Royal. Since only ports of our own nation as well as neutral and free harbors are running, we have to think carefully which flag we tackle to the mast. We start our maritime career on a PvP or PvE server with the selection of our nation: Are we sailing for Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark or a pirate run? Depending on the choice, the starting conditions are different: While the British can approach many ports, the Swedes have only a handful. Naval Action has now appeared on Steam in the Early Access, we hunted pirates with our yacht in the service of the British Crown, Frenchmen sunk, and have sailed with other dealers. They were so enthusiastic that they were working on the development of a MMO to bring back the beautiful sailing ships and their glorious wedding virtually to life. Also the developers of the Russian studio GameLabs have been enthusiastic fans of sailing ships since childhood. Books and films about the adventures of a Horatio Hornblower, Richard Bolitho, Jack Sparrow or Jack Aubrey are popular, although probably the fewest readers and viewers have ever set foot on deck. Leash off, Naval Action lays down! When this is the reason for stimulatory behavior, sensory overload is usually involved. However, the factors that trigger stimming are unique to each individual and can change from day to day.įor some, stimming is used to exert control over a situation and redirect fear or unpleasant energy. Children with ADHD may stim more in the form of fidgeting. For that reason, ADHD stimming may be more akin to the stimming you see in a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental delays than it is to the behavior of typical peers. While developmental disabilities or intellectual impairments do not necessarily accompany ADHD, it is common to see children who have ADHD present with sensory difficulties. Understanding the function of stimming in these individuals can provide insight into the experiences of individuals with sensory overload and their behavior and habits. This is likely the reason why people typically associate stimming with delays and disabilities. As a result, stimming could be more likely to be loud, distracting, or different from the common sources of self-stimulation. In the developmentally disabled, stimming is highlighted as an adaptive mechanism that helps those in the disabled community to communicate intense emotions. Children overwhelmed by visual input may press against their eyelids to create stars in their eyes or move their eyes back and forth rapidly. This is especially common in sensory processing disorders.Ĭhildren who are overwhelmed by auditory input, for instance, might be found shrieking or shouting in response to a lot of auditory stimuli. Because most children with developmental disabilities also experience some amount of sensory overload, stimming can be used to regain control over a certain sensation or experience. While stimming is a natural response that is in no way unique to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, brain differences, or even a brain injury, it can function as a source of comfort and control for children with developmental delays or developmental disorders. Online therapy can help you understand your behaviors better. Using these as a guide, you've undoubtedly seen someone in your life stimming or have found yourself stimming in a moment of boredom or discomfort. The most commonly seen forms of stimming, both in neurotypical people and in people with delays, include humming, swaying side to side, biting nails, biting the inside of the cheek, tapping fingers or toes, and rubbing the skin. The term "stimming" is an abbreviation for "self-stimulatory behavior." While it may sound complicated, it is an umbrella term used to describe any movements, patterns of behavior, or actions used to stimulate the senses. Although it has garnered attention primarily as a symptom of ASD, stimming is a very common human behavior and can be observed in people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, including those without disabilities. ![]() ![]() If you've heard of the term " stimming," it was likely in conjunction with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which formerly included conditions like Asperger's syndrome and some of the disorder's earliest and most easily definable symptoms. ![]() ![]() ![]() Does the Software Craftsmanship kind of have that as well? The first Kickstarter plans certainly received a lot of attention, but much of it was negative. It’s also difficult to know how potential players will respond to this renewed attempt at crowdfunding. This is hardly the right moment for a crowdfunding campaign considering the mass unemployment caused by the ongoing pandemic, but at the same time, things are likely to only get worse over the coming months and years. ![]() The renewed attempt at crowdfunding is perplexing, especially considering the less-than-stellar reaction the game received last time. Xixo Game Studio has relaunched the Kickstarter campaign for Cuphead -like 2D platformer Enchanted Portals. The developers also detailed changes that have been made to distinguish Enchanted Portals from Cuphead. If you have a big heart and can see the potential in this game, Enchanted Portals is coming to Kickstarter on Oct. While the game was initially going to launch on PC and Switch, it will now come to PlayStation 4 as well. In a post on Facebook, the developers explained that this was because crowdfunding would “grant more control over the project.” Something must not have worked out behind the scenes, as Enchanted Portals is set to return to Kickstarter soon. The Kickstarter was ultimately put on hold, apparently due to interest from a publisher that made the crowdfunding exercise unnecessary. Commenters were quick to point out that the game’s art style, gameplay, and even music seemed suspiciously similar to those of the indie darling Cuphead. ![]() The game received a lot of harsh criticism when initially announced. Apparently, changes to the game (illustrated in an “ extended trailer“) now make it feel like less of a direct Cuphead clone.Įnchanted Portals originally had plans for a Kickstarter last October. They seem to be more intended as showcases for the artists/animators than original games in their own right.Enchanted Portals, a game that received a lot of heat last year for looking suspiciously similar to Cuphead, is returning to Kickstarter. There seem to be quite a lot of continental studios (often students or recent graduates) crowdfunding games that are blatant grab-bags of things they like from indie hits from the last few years. It used to be a good plan, but I'm thinking that as folk get used to it it's much less of a smart move. The only reason to do what they've done is to attract controversy and hope that works in their favour. ![]() Make the same game with a different art style and they'd be good. Why wouldn't you spend your time doing something new? Pin that art style on a different genre and they'd have been sorted. But why would you? As he said - there is a shedload of work involved there, and most of it looks decent quality. It's that double whammy of copying both art style and core game idea that makes it FEEL so brazen, but legally they're probably OK. ![]() Luxor was the main one of those and Luxor Evolved was the standout of these. Update: The Kickstarter is now live, with a 120,000 / £104,659 goal. But it's exactly the same as the Zuma cloning that went on back in the day - and the people buying Zuma clones had probably already bought Zuma and just wanted more (and yes, I'm aware Zuma ripped off something else that I can't remember right now, but I hope you get my drift). If youre a first-time documentary filmmaker, follow these best practices for researching and writing a documentary film proposal. The game design is different obviously, so that's probably the main thing here, and I can't see anyone suing - it's just morally a bit tawdry. I mean - none of it is actually half-inched, but they've definitely just copied exactly what Cuphead did. So this is interesting, because they've copied the idea of the game - which is absolutely fine, but then they've gone and aped the art style quite closely too. Enchanted portals kickstarter full#The basic gist of copyright law is that you can't copyright an idea, only the implementation (what it looks like, the characters, the sound effects etc.) So anyone is free to write a book about a school full of wizards, but if you call one of them Harry Potter you're screwed. ![]() |
